Jesus
Nowadays almost a suburb of the rapidly expanding Ibiza town, but safely seperated from the main conglomeration by the protected marshlands of historic Ses Feixes. This little village boasts one of the most important churches on the island, however, it is not the church but what it contains that makes this spot so special.
The island's greatest art treasure resides here. An altar screen completed in the 16th Century entitled "The Virgin and Child" which is mainly remarkable for having survived the invasions of the ensuing 500+ years intact.
The village itself seems busy with traffic, but offers some lovely options for food, drink and watching the busy world go by when you're not in the mood for anything more energetic.
