The fiestas are basically "any excuse to have a week long party". There are fiestas for each town and also for the patron saints days. They usually last about a week for the town fiestas and have loads of kids entertainment, concerts, live shows, competitions and parades through the town with floats, old cars etc etc and ending with massive firework displays. They are great fun and its a great way to mingle with the locals.
