On December 17th 1999 we set ourselves a target to set up a relevant web presence (in the absence of any other information) for Ibiza's millennium celebration within a week, and in time for Christmas. We managed to establish information links with the clubs and bars that were supporting this first attempt at Winter tourism in Ibiza and secured permissions/tickets to go to each club to take photo's of the millennium celebration there to post on the internet on New Millennium Day. Our cameraman apologizes to Privilege and Space for their omission, but his excuse was good he ran out of battery power on the camera by 7 in the morning. (I won't mention his over exuberance earlier in the morning.)
We've set ourselves another set of totally unrealistic objectives for the coming month which we've no chance of achieving, but most web sites spend at least 6 months before they dare take their clothes off? We are your Full Monty web site and we're proud of our warts. Anyway the next list runs like this:-

Up to date information on which clubs will be open when, why? And whose spinning the tunes?
Up to date information on which additional bars/ restaurants are open and when, and some good reasons for visiting them. (Hours of painful research, but where there's a will?)
Maps, ferries, bus and plane times/options (at up to date, best possible prices). Bank & Cash point sites, taxi ranks/prices, public phones, local fiestas (parties), historical sites, caves, churches and when it's warm enough, more beaches than you can shake a stick at? (Bring several)
A complete list of access points to the net as and when the new ones appear. This year they could be more common than cockroaches and they're definitely more useful..
We took our lives in our hands by going on line within one week. With your help this organic (you're watching it grow) site can achieve our next set of objectives within deadline. If you aren't going to help don't visit the site. If you are send us your own stories, information, experiences, (photos and a discreet phone number) (in a plain brown wrapper) and we'll add anything printable to the site.
Now in new hands the website has turned into a full portal for Ibiza. With huge selection of advertisers on the site, you can find listings of bars, restaurants and other businesses around the Island. Accommodation is what the website really promoted with direct to owner adverts you can find some of the cheapest accommodation in the internet for Ibiza.
With the ever changing internet we have moved forward in developing numerous websites around ibizaholidays.com also adding lots of new features to the site. With recent entries like our blog and also a complete classified section and boat charter section. We have developed a high ranking website for Ibiza hotels that includes a booking system direct to the Ibiza hotels of the Island. And in the year 2010 we have launched a wedding site for people looking to organise a wedding on the Island. More too come as we been working harder developing new web ideas to help promote Ibiza.
