The Balti House
Four seasons ago when ‘The Balti House’ first opened in Santa Eulalia, an Indian restaurant on the prom was somewhat of a novelty. Now its reputation for providing high quality food has spread and 2007 is the first year ‘The Balti House’ will be staying open through winter, (Fri, Sat and Sun only). Not only is this testament to their consistently excellent service, but also to the growing popularity of Asian food in Ibiza.
English people are experts in Indian food and therefore most approach a curry house abroad with caution. However there are no disappointments to be had at ‘The Balti House’. The menu is affordable and recognisable; from Korma to Vindaloo. The Chef’s Specialities are a real treat and as their kitchen houses a Tandoor oven, the handmade naan breads are some of the best you will ever taste.
Choose wine from a small but good selection or try a mango lassi, a bottle of Cobra, a jug of sangria or even a Caipirinia cocktail to accompany your meal.
A children’s menu is available and there is a warm welcome for diners of all distinctions. Most leave wanting to recommend the place to everyone else they meet.

Tastefully decorated in a modern understated Asian style, candles and incense burning give the interior an authentic relaxing atmosphere, but as we are in Ibiza you will find the background music is more likely to be Buddha Bar than Bollywood!
A large terrace overlooking the bay provides an opportunity for al fresco dining and as the sun goes down and the moon rises, the torches and lamps are lit, making the night seem extra special as you tuck into the delicious food served in generous portions.
‘The Balti House’ also has a Take-Away Service which is fantastic if you are self catering or simply want to sit on your balcony and watch the world go by.
The secret of ‘The Balti House’ is well and truly out and now that more Spanish people are being initiated into the ways of Indian food, if you are a large party, or you want to eat at 9.30pm on a Saturday night in August, ring up and BOOK!
