This popular, crowded beach has pretty much everything you could wish for on your day out. The amenities are practically endless - pedalloes, banana boats and all the rest of your water entertainment. For eats and drinks, there are restaurants and bars close to hand. Umbrellas, loungers and mats are available for hire. All in all, perfect for a family trip, or for those looking to be pampered on their visit to the seaside.
The sands are a gorgeous, crystalline white, and they run to a good expanse of at least 100m wide by nearly 50m deep. These sands run quite a way out into the bay also, so a gradual entrance into the clear waters is not only easy, but compulsory. The swimming is gentle, partly due to the enclosed nature of the bay, which offers good protection from any winds.
You'll find Cala d'Es Torrent on the south side of the island. Many bus services run this way, though you'll have a little stretch of the legs, nothing too strenous, to the beach itself. Look out for buses and signs to 'Carretera Vieja a Port d'es Torrent'.
