Take the road to Cala Llonga right to the end and then turn right along a wide dirt track you will then come upon a place called ‘Sol Den Serra’ not much there except a very large fig tree (if you are lucky enough to be there when they are in season pick one and enjoy the best tasting fresh fig you have ever tasted!) – then walk down the track towards the restaurant and you will come upon a spectacular view over the large wild bay of Sol Den Serra with its long pebble beach stretching out below you. Another of those amazing diversities of beaches on Ibiza!
The long curved beach is full of large pebbles so not so good for sunbathing – but the sea is quite good if you are a swimmer and the bottom is quite sandy if you are prepared to tackle the pebbles on getting in and out. The sea tends to be quite rough here on many days so not many boats or people.
This is where the restaurant comes into its own as it has its own ‘sandy’ level above the main beach with sun beds and waiter service – so a great place to ‘chill out’ away from the crowds.
This place is not very suitable for children owing to its ‘cliff tops’ and pebble beach.
It is easy to reach and good parking.
