Cala Gat Beach

Cala Gat is a real hidden treasure. Easy enough to find, but very rarely visited, if you need nothing more than peace and quiet and picturesque surroundings, then it's worth your while seeking this one out. It's quite close to Es Canar, and the best way to the beach is by foot or bike. Make your way to the Club Punta Arabi and then go through to Camping Florida. Just beyond that, you'll find the little beach. It can be tricky to get on to the beach itself, as there's quite a steep little shelf at the back of it.
The beach is made up mostly of pebbles, not to mention copious dried seaweed and driftwood. This gives the whole beach a very natural, not to mention unkempt feel, but then we didn't come here for the water-skiing!
Snorkelling here is a lovely experience. Clear waters, many rocks and plenty of life beneath the gentle waves. Be wary though, as it is quite a popular mooring spot for those using Camping Florida.

Your Safety

Dont swim out too far from the beach.
Beware if rip currents! Rip currents are powerful currents of water moving away from shore. Most beaches on Ibiza are fairly calm and rip current free but bad weather can change that!

Some beaches have rocks! We advise you to becareful when jumping of diving into the sea. Look first!

The sun can be very hot in summer months and its important to shade young children and babies. Also fair skinned people should be careful. Sun Safety

Wear waterproof sandles. Great for children who want to look around the rocks to catch crabs and fish.

Wildlife

Jellyfish and sea urchins are the only real threats in the Mediteareanm sea.And they are not life threating in anyway, but you can epect a nasty sting from a jellyfish .Niether sharks or whales swim around these Islands.
