Description
This bay at the northern end of the village is protected from the open sea by the Portinatx version of 'Punta Galera' ('Galera' means galley in Spanish - and these sheltered coves provided welcome safety to many a galley dweller down the years). Nowadays, the peaceful tranquility of this former fishermen's cove has, at first glance, been overrun by hotels and restaurants, but a short climb over the rocks to the right of the main beach reveals a whole new world that you wouldn't imagine from the beach itself...
