Diving Don Pedro Ibiza

by adminman on June 9, 2010

Since the Don Pedro sank Punta Dive has invited several undersea journalists to Ibiza with the idea to promote what can only be described as the best thing to happen to Ibiza since Carl Cox graced us with his presence all those years ago.

So far this year we have had out the Dutch magazine, Duiken, and this week will see the return of John Bantin from Dive Magazine. John Bantin graced our shores two years ago after hearing that there was a monster in Ibiza lying on the seabed at 43 metres. After the phone call and some research on him we realised that in order to promote the Don Pedro we needed to look outside Ibiza and touch the European Dive market that seems to be in love with big chunks of metal.

He arrived in Ibiza and unfortunately he brought the famous British summer with him so we were only able to get down and dive on her twice, which was both frustrating for him and for us as we felt we needed to get the most out of his visit. Since his last visit we have been in contact and asked to do a follow up article on the Don Pedro to see how life has changed and what new ecosystems it has acquired. We are inviting all divers from the island to meet the legend of the deep as he will be diving with us in Playa den Bossa for a week.

Anybody can come along to find out new information on diving and ask him questions about where he has dived.
