
The largest passenger liner in the world has docked in Bota Foch marina in Ibiza town. This ship is a total length of 339 meters and a beam of 38,6 meters and a width of 56 meters. This 154,000 ton vessel was built in 2008 in Finland at cost of over 828 million dollars. This ship is the latest in the Freedom class with a capacity of 4370 passengers and a crew of over 1350.
It operates from Southampton, England and cruises all round Europe with a stop in Ibiza.
Like the other ships in its class the Freedom class vessels all have an interactive water park and a H20 zone dedicated to pool sports like Volleyball, Basketball. The ship has an internal shopping street called the Promenade, lined with shops, pubs and wine bars. There is also a three story Alhambra theatre, seating around 1100 people and a complete conference center. The Pyramid Lounge which is based on an ancient Egyptian theme. On a lower level there is an ice skating rink called Studio B, home to a series of professional ice shows and can also be used for personal skating. The ship has a huge range of eating outlets, flat screen TV’s in all staterooms, WIFI and mobile phone connectivity, heated, fresh water pools.
