S'argamassa is situated midway between the pretty market town of Santa Eulalia (3 kilometres) and the bustling seaside resort of Es Canar. This means that Cesars watersports cneter is within easy walking distance, along the most beautiful stretch of beach coastline to be found on the island, or a short bus ride from either.

On arrival you find a large chiringuito set amidst, and shaded by, towering pine trees with a front terrace raised some twenty feet above and overlooking the beach. The view takes in the coastline almost as far south as Cala Llonga and is framed by the hills descending on their other side to Ibiza town.

The beach overlooked by the chiringuito, however, is much more than just a beach – it is one of the foremost watersports centres on the island, offering as wide a range of sea-going toys as can be found anywhere else on the island. All of this supervised by the charismatic Cesar Jerez and his son Cesar jnr , who are perhaps the most qualified and experienced water sports specialists that the island has to offer.

The range of water sports on offer is mind-boggling and includes canoe, pedal boat, sailing boat, catamaran, windsurfer, jet ski, water skiing, parasailing, wakeboard, banana boat, ringo double-trouble, hydro-jet and speedboat trips.

Don't worry if you don't consider yourself to be an expert on these vehicles – all the help and advice that you might need are available whatever your level of skill.

After your exertions you will doubtless be seeking refreshment on the terrace of the chiringuito where you will be greeted with a mouth-watering selection of dishes from which to choose. If you come for lunch on a Sunday or Wednesday you will experience another of Cesar's many talents – his renowned ‘Paella Show'. This is where you can watch the man himself prepare and cook a huge paella over an open fire in a traditional country style and then enjoy the results yourself with bread, salad, fruit and sangria thrown in for good measure.
