An evolving family food business, with 'IbizaEileen' as the star chef and driving force.
The ‘Hollywood’ bit came from a highly successful restaurant situated down by the front of Santa Eulalia. Those were busy days, with lovers of the wonderful food literally sitting on the steps outside queuing for a table as ‘Eileen Hollywood’ turned out mouth watering dishes.
Hundreds of meals a day is very hard work and a consequential back problem meant easing off, so sadly the restaurant had to go.
That interlude provided a ‘gap-year’ for Eileen to go travelling, and discover many new foods and recipes along the way.
But, early retirement didn’t sit well with Eileen, so helping friends with special occasions and parties, cooking for tourists who hired villas, barbeques without the burning etc gradually increased..... and voila! Out of the ashes grew Hollywood Catering, a flexible catering service, operating with the guiding principle of ensuring people had a stress free time enjoying wonderful food. ‘Bespoke’ is now the in-vogue word which probably sums up what Hollywood Catering provided.
Then came a request to bake a cake...... Eileen had always baked cakes for parties and celebrations. This however was not just any cake, but her daughter’s wedding cake.
That labour of love culminated as a magnificent multi-tier, heart shaped sugar-craft creation.
It wowed everyone who saw and tasted it, and immediately created a string of requests....... The demand for cakes outgrew the other things, so.... Hollywood Cakes evolved!
Like a duck to water, Eileen threw herself into sugar-craft, rapidly matching the best in Britain. By pure chance, Eileen met the renowned Cynthia Venn, revered sugar-craft artist and text-book writer. Cynthia was seeking retirement, and happily passed her ‘tool kit’ and equipment onto Eileen who was by now very seriously making celebration cakes for Ibiza based weddings.
While Hollywood was a well known and loved name on Ibiza, back in UK it meant little. Based in the principle that simple is best, ibizacakes.com was created.

WHAT WE DO:
Between satisfying demand for the legendary traditional and contemporary wedding cakes we still provide some villa catering and BBQ parties. Specialised and with personal attention from advice to cooking to service.We not only love food, we love to have fun, and one of our criteria is that if it isn’t going to be fun, we’d rather not do it. We cook with love, and give our service with love. We do parties for children too, but mainly for big children... like us... so if you want to surprise and spoil someone on a special day, just call for a ‘Schhhhh’ secret-service delivery.
