On the 25th of April the same day as the London marathon where you can run, walk, cycle or even skate, a similar type of event will be held in Ibiza. Called Earthrun Ibiza 2010, this event is in aid of creating awareness of projects to keeping Ibiza clean. Bars and businesses gather together in teams and collect donations. The bar or business that raises the most money will win a prize supplied by the sponsors of the event.
Earthrun 2010 will start from The Funky Lizard bar in the Bay of San Antonio. The route follows the paseo and all the way down to the Golden Buddha then back along the paseo to the finish line which will be outside Villa Mercedes. A celerbartion will take place after the marathon in the square with the fountains in San Antonio which will include eight hours of music and dance on a stage. There will also be numerous activities for the children and a wide selection of food and drink.
