· 27th June - For the first time in Ibiza, an international pigeon racing competition is taking place on the 25th October - we will obviously be following the race... · 25th June - A TV production company is looking for a fascinating group of people heading off together for a holiday in Ibiza this summer who would be KEEN to take part in an experimental Channel 4 film project. · 24th June - Manumission opening party review is now in - click here the clubbing section · 20th June - Today was a general strike across spain - instead of the average 133 flights that normally arrive in Ibiza everyday - there were 25 scheduled. We spent the day at Sa Caleta (which is on the inbound flight path) and saw 3 planes, 2 private jets and a single prop plane come in - in the space of about 6 hours.. The main towns were quiet and there were demonstrations but in the day we didnt see a single bar shut though there were a few shops shut. Cadena Cien (89.1FM) have got the following line ups for this year. Bruno (Cafe del Mar) & Oscar Colorado (Space) and various guests are doing 8-10pm (local time), our man Andy Wilson has moved from his weekend slot to do mon-fri 10-11pm and then from monday Ministry Of Sound are doing the 11-midnight slot. When you get here and you have a radio make sure you check out the local radio. If you want to listen online · 12th June - The world cup has predictably sort of taken over the mornings here, but we did manage to go to the opening party of Es Vive hotel (Base Bar's new venture) this afternoon - inbetween figueretas & playa d'en bossa its not your average hotel - it was packed with the usual crowd and jumping... then down to the port for the new Kube bar (down from the rock & base bar) - it was an icecream parlour last year but you'd never guess it and there we ran into our old friend who ran the QPQ bar last year - who just happens to be running Kube this year - nice bar, good music (not "banging"). Namaste have a pre party tonight at Las Dalias before their regular thursday night extravaganzas. There is too much going on now. · 4th June - El Divino opening party review and the 2nd half of the Space opening party review is now in - we've woken up.... Details of Inox (which was Fabrica) are now in as well - click in the clubbing section for the link... · 2nd June - 6pm - We did the first leg of the infamous Space Opening Party - as is normal it was absolutely rammed by 2pm - all the pictures and our half time review are here. Eden's opening party review is in the clubbing section - El Divino's opening to come.
