Close to the town of San Antonio , in fact facing it across the huge bay from which it takes it name, it is actually in the municipality of San José .
This is not the only difference, however, as the Bay area is a perfect family holiday resort with a choice of half a dozen beautiful beaches within easy walking distance and endless entertainment options along its length at night. The beaches offer the full range of water sports options, even including ‘parascending' – which offers the perfect opportunity for that unforgettable pose, 100 or so meters up in the air, in front of the Café del Mar as the sun sets?
The contrast to San Antonio itself is striking, although both share the incredible sunsets over the offshore islands for which this side of the island is famous.
Although it's only a walk along the seafront to San Antonio , they have a regular bus service and from there the connections all over the island are excellent. They even include the fabled ‘disco buses', so you can actually go anywhere you like at any time of day or night.

As you would expect around one of the most beautiful natural bays in the Mediterranean , there are many accommodation options with numerous hotels and apartments almost all of which have their own swimming pools, despite the close proximity of the sea. Petrol is sold as Super, Sin Plomo 95 and 98 (unleaded) and Gasoil (diesel). Most service stations are open from 07.00 to 23.00, although there are some which open 24 hours a day

Lots of medical centers situated around San Antonio.
All chemist's shops display a large green cross outside (Farmacias). They are open usually between 09.30 to 13.30 and 17.00 to 21.00.See Medical Numbers
