The most isolated rural parish of the island is set in a very fertile high valley. The surrounding mountains gave this hamlet its name - Santa Agnes de Corona. Corona means crown and and this is how they look from the village as they frame the huge sky, particularly in February when the almond trees blossom in the valley. At this time the hamlet the hamlet is overrun with visitors as the island's poulation turn up to enjoy that unique February full moon with the scent and lunar illumination of the full moon, plus a carpet of apparent snowflakes that are actually fallen blossom.
If you can get there, be there - it's magical...
The nearby Northern coastline is almost inaccessible consisting of huge cliffs approached through rough countryside. This has made the region the best conserved on the island as it remains well off the normal tourist circuit.
As ever, luck favours the brave
