Ibiza Weather in Spring

Climate

Spring begins on the Vernal Equinox (usually March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere. The late winter / early spring is also a terrific time to visit because the whole island seems to come into bloom at the end of February and the beginning of March. If you're lucky enough to be here in February, there are two sights you absolutely must not miss, no excuses. The first is the almond blossom in Santa Agnes valley. An entire valley smothered in blossom is a true vision to behold in the daytime, but there are midnight walks at the full moon, and that's when the landscape becomes otherworldly. The white almond blossom reflects the moonlight and the entire valley appears to glow.

The other must-see is the annual arrival of the flamingoes on the salt flats at Ses Salines. Literally hundreds of these magnificent creatures crowd the flats, and though you can find them here most of the year round, in late February their numbers swell dramatically, creating quite an unmissable spectacle.

As for the weather, well, fairly unpredictable would be the most apposite description. In Spring you can have a day at the beach followed by a day under the brolly. Thunderstorms do happen, though only occasionally.
