Terravita Gardens - Back to Ibiza Holidays

ReedbedsReedbeds are the natural way to treat wastewater. We recycle all house water for posterior use in the garden. A reedbed is a watertight area planted with special aquatic plants. The pollutants and wastes are removed through natural treatment processes. There is a acute shortage of water in Ibiza
Terravita, as an environmentally friendly company, is always looking for new ways of saving water in gardens One water source we have plugged into is recycling house waste water which usually ends up in a septic tank, seeping into the earth and contaminating the aquifiers Working with a leading expert in the UK, Terravita has developed natural recycling systems and has already built many reedbeds on the island.
The benefits of reedbeds are enormous:
What is a reedbed? Basically, it's a watertight area planted with special aquatic plants through which the water to be purified flows before passing through a biological filter tank or a shredder compartment The pollutants and wastes are removed through natural treatment processes, microbial activity, reed root aeration and nutritional uptake by reeds. The purified water then passes into a container tank ready for watering the garden. And if you want to add a decorative touch, a pond can be added to the whole system. Sounds simple, which it is, and what's more, it works!
