Spring at last! As the temperatures slowly creep up the scale the island begins to brighten its colours all over as the early flowers and trees come into blossom. The climate all over is generally mild, and the sunnier days can reach very comfortable highs. Still you'll need to wrap up come the evenings and for those nights out.
Apart from the usual outdoor pursuits to be had, your walking, riding and hiking, and of course all the clubs, pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants that keep their doors open all year round, March is also the time of the San Jose fiesta, where you'll find competitions, dancing, food and the traditional fireworks.
