Right in the heart of Es Cana, this oasis is deceptive. From outside on the main road your first impression is of a huge private garden lined with palm trees containing an oversized swimming pool. At second glance it occurs to you that there are too many people enjoying there for it to be a single family enjoying their garden. Descending the steps at the entrance you find yourself a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, greeted by this huge garden dominated by an Olympic sized swimming pool and supplemented by a smaller kiddies pool.
The poolside bar/restaurant is spacious and the service unobtrusively attentive and efficient. The multilingual menu covering a range of breakfast options, plu an extensive children's menu (even including a roast beef dinner!) and snacks alongside an otherwise extensive restaurant menu is remarkably reasonably priced. Open from 9 am till 4 pm then 6 till 11 pm, which gives you two hours to shower and change before coming back out for the evening. - Which reminds me of another hidden treat that resides at the Zodiac - They even have their own beach. Over 120 metres of pure beach ambience with a scattering of sunbeds and tasteful sunshades. The contrast with the hectic main Es Cana beach, where towels are nose to tail, is remarkable.
The apartment block, that forms a part of this complex which also includes a hairdressers, boutique, supermarket, travel agency and a range of restaurants, has to be the best option in the village with such an array of facilities on offer - yet within a few minutes walk of the nightlife of Es Cana. On the subject of nightlife, the Zodiac provides that too with live entertainment in the evenings and the full range of Satellite TV options on four screens to cater for all of those sporting events that keep Dad happy. As regards keeping Mum happy the main event, apart from somebody else doing the washing up, is probably the facilities for the kids. In addition to the swimming pools and beach there are amusement machines, pool tables and even an enclosed infant's play area.
Yes it's all too good to be true, but that's the Zodiac for you...
